About iPad Pro M1 Giveaway
iPad Pro M1 Review
The iPad Pro comes in two screen sizes, 12.9inch and 11inch. The review unit we got had a 11-inch display which unfortunately doesn’t have the biggest talking point, a Liquid Retina XDR display. The 11-inch display doesn’t have the XDR tech nor the mini-LED backlight. The 12.9-inch also offers more peak better contrast ratio & brightness.
The 11-inch iPad Pro display is a slouch in any form of sense. It has a resolution of 2388×1668 px and the screen stretches edge to edge. The bezels are thin and Apple gets the rounded corners spot on to give it a sleek yet industrial look. Playing games is wonderfull on the iPad Pro
The M1 iPad Pro display has been calibrated for brightness, gamma, colour and white point. Apple has put an antireflective coating for ease of use in outdoors condition. Even in broad daylight, the display is bright enough for you to carry on with your work.
There’s also the ProMotion technology that helps in switching the display refresh rate upto 120Hz. Scrolling is smooth and fast on the M1 iPad Pro.
The 11-inch display, however, might not be too big for those looking to creative artworks. It’s a good size and much lighter than 12.9-inch with the Magic Keyboard but typing on it takes time to get used to.
The design is pretty much similar to the iPad Pro launched on 2020. The aluminium body still looks great and is easy to hold without the keyboard. If you don’t buy the Magic Keyboard then do opt for a cover just to protect the all-glass front. The display comes with a scratch resistant coating as well.
Now iPad Pro have used the M1 processor and like many others were blown away with how good it is on the MacBook. The M1 chip used in the iPad Pro is pretty good. Apple says that it the M1 chip is about 50% faster in terms of performance when compared to the A12Z Bionic chip used in the iPad Pro 2020.
The iPad Pro M1 is faster for sure but for most common users it will be hard to find the differences. If you are doing what regular users do like streaming, browsing the internet, or even writing stuff, you won’t feel a difference. This is the iPad Pro after all and so was the 2020 model and they are meant to be super fast.
The M1 chip shines when you are doing some rigorous tasks. Take the case of editing a video in Affinity Designer and the iPad Pro despite it being a heavy duty task hardly breaks into a sweat. It’s not an easy feat to put a processor that’s found in a Mac into a tablet and replicate the same results. Apple has done it with aplomb because the M1 iPad Pro is a super-fast machine. Having the M1 processor doesn’t meant that Mac apps run on the iPad.
How much RAM the iPad has. In fact, Apple has never ever publicly mentioned the RAM found on iPhones as well. With the iPad Pro, if you buy the 512GB or lesser storage variant, you get 8GB of RAM. If you pump in for the pricier 1TB or above models, then you get 16GB.
Gaming is truly a delight on the new iPad Pro M1. You can connect a Sony Playstation controller or Xbox to give it a more than a casual gamer feel.
